Acupuncture offers a natural, holistic approach to stress relief and a return to balance. Acupuncture has been clinically proven to reduce stress hormones and reset the nervous system. Many of our patients report feeling deep relaxation after a session that lasts from hours to days. Don’t suffer in silence, let us help!

Sleep

During sleep our bodies heal and rejuvenate. More serious effects of insomnia include high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity, and diabetes. Acupuncture resets the nervous system and improve the quality and duration of your sleep so that you reduce the risk of serious effects. Quality sleep can helsp help you heal faster fro other injuries and ailments.

About

Perry Levenson, DACM, L.Ac., L.M.T.

Perry Levenson is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. He brings over three decades of experience to every nuance of the care he provides. Dr. Levenson is licensed as an Acupuncturist in New York and Connecticut, and is nationally board certified in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.
He believes strongly in the mind-body-spirit connection and that true health comes from a state of mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. Perry works with patients on a deeply personal level, often teaching breathing and meditation techniques that foster deep relaxation. These techniques, empower patients to manage their response to stress and to open their entire being to growth and the healing process.

Extensively trained in Asian medicine, Dr. Levenson never stops learning.  His curiosity, passion, and dedication lead him to study with world class acupuncturists and educators in the field of electro acupuncture.  His application of the theories and techniques learned transformed his practice and the lives of his patients.  These techniques set Perry, and Whole Healthy Family apart from other acupuncture centers in the area.

Perry began his work life as a precious metals trader in NYC.  He left that career path to pursue his passion as a performer.  He performed extensively off-off Broadway in NYC, regional theater, and in several television commercials.  In the early 1990s, Perry had a friend experiencing neck and shoulder pain.  He gave her a massage during which she said, “You should do this for a living.”  A light bulb went off and Perry changed course again, first studying AMMA Therapy (a Korean based massage technique) which led him to the study of acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.  Dr. Levenson has found his career and his home in the study and practice of Asian Medicine.  He prides himself on providing individual treatment plans for each patient and receives great satisfaction from giving his patients the chance to live more fulfilled and healthy lives.
